This past weekend was the second weekend that the local Farmer's Market began in the center of Peekskill. Not only are the vegetables super fresh, they are delicious too! Double click on image to see larger image. I certainly love abstracts in nature - this one interested me due to the simple fact the tree limbs look like some odd pile of worms or paths or even like a close up of something fibrous in a microscope.

This pretty shot was taken near Lancaster, PA. It was a huge field, with one single tree standing along with an impressive sun just starting to set.

I took this the other day when it was nearly 60 degrees here in Westchester, New York. This photo is from Verplank, NY with the sun obviously getting ready to sit down for the night. I took a whole bunch actually of different images from this shore, from ice floating on the river melting into the still Hudson River waters to images of the boats up and out of the water for the season. I took this yesterday, it was so cold outside, but loved the look of the ice, it was so blue compared o the lovely lavender and mauve colors of the trees.

It was a snowy day and night...and we are bracing for more this weekend. This photo I took last night while walking the dog. The city looks so pretty with no cars and snow covered streets with both cool and warm lights highlighting the streets and sidewalks.

Our village's first snow. Though it really wasn't a big deal, it certainly was very pretty. This town consists of many old buildings whose architecture looks especially beautiful against the snowy sky. I just wish there weren't any cars in the road, it would have made this photo that more perfect for a painting.

I liked how these trees reminded me of that old game us kids used to play named "pick up sticks". The trees which had fallen down and criss-crossed the other trees. Nothing else...

I took this photograph the other day while driving through Depew Park in Peekskill, NY. Its amazing how the colors change week after week. Fall has reached beyond its glory and most of the leaves have fallen to the ground. Get ready for winter!

I took this the other morning, it was raining as you can obviously see since there were a few drops of raining coming down that were caught in the lens. One moment later, and I mean one moment later the lights were turned off and the look was gone. I had in fact walked there earlier, saw the effect and politely asked my dog to come back with me before he did his business so I could grab my camera

Sunset in Croton-on-Hudson at high tide...Pretty, yes? I have been able to travel to many places outside of this area, but absolutely still love the beauty surrounding the Hudson River.

What looks like an -I-Hop restaurant is really a community center in downtown Peekskill, NY. Just moments before this shot was taken the decorative grass was glowing red from the sun setting. Sadly by the time I crossed the street, the effect was lost.

Some of my favorites flowers for when winter starts is th Amaryllis which can easily be forced to bloom year after year. This one I took actually a few years ago, but will soon be available on my flower calendar for 2008.
