Today's Daily Image for January 9th, 2008

I took this the other day when it was nearly 60 degrees here in Westchester, New York. This photo is from Verplank, NY with the sun obviously getting ready to sit down for the night. I took a whole bunch actually of different images from this shore, from ice floating on the river melting into the still Hudson River waters to images of the boats up and out of the water for the season. It was all very surreal since the Hudson River is usually active with its tides and small waves and on occasion whitecaps that flank the large body of water.

I took this yesterday, it was so cold outside, but loved the look of the ice, it was so blue compared o the lovely lavender and mauve colors of the trees.
